Video game Nerds

Man it’s been the week from hell. Oh and let me say this in the beginning so when you read why it’s the week from hell you people don’t want to kill me. Hanging around guys that wouldn’t know where the happy place on a woman if you drew them a map is not fun one bit. Ok now I know everyone just read the above and are wondering what dungeons and dragons world did I fall into. NO I went to something almost as bad. I was at a video game convention called E3. It’s something that goes on every year at this time and something that makes me glad that I get out of the basement every other week. You all might ask what is wrong with going to a video game convention. Well, nothing really. But since I am working it’s not all fun and games. But I have noticed a trend the last couple of years that I have worked this show. It would seem maybe because of my size or overall look I am on guard duty every year. Now guard duty is a funny thing. Most of the guys that I work with might like it. But I have to say I am starting to hate it. What prey tell am I guarding? I am guarding the models (booth babes). Every once and a while I get one that is really smart and is fun to talk to. Other times they are dumber than a box of rocks. The last two days was spent with the ones that have rocks in their heads. The sad thing is you get a lot of guys taking pictures with these girls and you know this is the closest they have ever been to a live woman that wasn’t ignoring them. It’s the same thing every year. 19- 30 year old virgins wanting bragging rights about seeing the latest game out. Way to hot models being asked to take a picture with said virgins and being drooled on. And all the industry people either drunk, hung over or wishing they were someone else for this week. OH the joy of working in the video game industry. Oh and by the way none of the people in the pictures are me.
