how much you want?

Ok so this is really the first time I have been engaged and in the process of making the plans. It’s wild, but I have to say we are making out like bandits. We went looking at sites where we were going to hold the wedding and reception. And I have to tell you damn I can’t believe how much some of these places charge. I have been talking with friends and they have been telling me they spent upwards of 35 thousand dollars. Now I didn’t hit the lottery so I know our wedding is so not going to be anywhere close to that. But we did find something that was really cool. My future wife fell in love with it the moment we looked at it. We are going to get married on a yacht. It’s one of these yachts there are made just to hold events like this. The company that we are dealing with is so professional. Every question that we had they answered and we were both very impressed. And from what my other friends were telling me about their weddings we are getting off on the cheap. The wedding complete will be about 13 thousand dollars. And for everything we are getting I am told we can’t beat it. Now I would have been happy running off to Vegas and doing it but the looks I got when I said that were not good. This is her first and only wedding so she wants the dream wedding. This I can very much understand and it’s very much within reach. So this is our plan and I can’t wait to see her walking down that aisle. I know right now and even a year from now I feel like the luckiest man in the world.

What a year so far.

Wow this has been one hell of a whirl wind of a year. And I mean a full year. This time last year I never would have though I would be in the position that I am in today. I have a job that I really like what I am doing. I feel a bit over my head sometimes but I love it none the less. I have an apartment that while small it’s really nice and I like it. It’s good for me and I don’t really have company other than my girlfriend that is. And last but not close to least. My gorgeous, stunning fiancé. Yes I did say fiancé, I asked her to be my wife and she said yes. So next year in mid May I am going to be officially off the market. Not that I have been on the market lately as it is. It’s been great and we are very very happy. I mean this has been a great time and I never get tired of seeing her. The only real time we are not together is when we are at work. I can’t believe it. Oh man I have so much stuff to plan my god this is going to be great.
