Damn it lets go back to the 90's

This recession we are in has got to end soon. I mean damn man where the hell did all that money everyone was making in the 90’s go? It seems that everyone has been hit by this lately. I know I just got hit myself. I was laid off about 3 weeks ago. The reason is the company is moving half of their force to Canada. Why you ask? It has to do with getting a working visa here in the United States. When half the company is Korean they need work visas. And the company has to pay for that visa. What’s funny is the company started making money. But they feel it’s a better deal to move most of the company up to Canada so I am out of a job. It’s funny most of my friends have told me take the time off and relax and take a little bit of a vacation. Well I would if I had something line up. But I don’t, I need to work. It’s a part of me and what one of the things that my parents drilled into me. This is why even if I would win the Lotto I would still have to work. There is no way I could retire and spend the life on the couch. That is just not who I am. The job search is going slow. And with a slow job hunt means I am stuck around the house more than I would on a normal day. The little woman isn’t all that happy about that either. And when you are planning a wedding it’s never a good thing. Hell she even had to take a demotion at work so we are for sure getting less money then we did a few months ago. Combined we are making about 450 to 500 dollars less than we were. That hurts for sure. Things are tight but still do able we hope that is. Just one more hurdle to get over that is for sure.
